Refreshed interior, longer range and a smoother ride — but is it worth €55,000 in Cyprus?

The 2025 Tesla Model Y arrives in Cyprus with a series of quiet-but-important updates that make an already popular electric SUV even more compelling. The exterior is largely unchanged, but the interior has been thoroughly reworked with better materials, an ambient light strip and vastly improved rear passenger comfort.

On the road, the Long Range variant covers a genuine 480 km on a single charge in our mixed Cyprus testing — Nicosia to Paphos and back with air-conditioning running is no problem. Charging on Supercharger V3 units in Limassol brings it back to 80% in around 27 minutes.

The driving experience is transformed. Tesla has retuned the suspension to reduce the harshness that plagued earlier models on Cyprus’s uneven back roads. Steering feels more natural, and cabin noise at highway speeds is meaningfully lower.

Where the Model Y still stumbles is its minimalist controls. Everything routes through the central screen, which takes acclimatisation. Build quality is much improved but panel gaps still lag European rivals.
